Local Link is the National brand under which 15 Local Link companies provide rural transport in Ireland.  Each Local Link is funded through the National Transport Authority with funding from the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport.

TFI Local Link Kerry provides safe, secure, and reliable transport for rural communities across the the Kingdom of Kerry. We have six types of services:

Our Demand Responsive Transport services operate in areas that are more rural generally running once or twice per week and passengers are requested to book in advance of travelling. Call us on 066-7147002 or email bookings@locallinkkerry.ie for more information or bookings.

We offer two types of service: Demand Responsive Transport and Regular Rural Services (www.locallinkkerry.ie/timetables)

You do not need to book the Regular Rural Services (Route 268, 273, 274, 276, 277, 278, 280, 281, 283, 285, 287 and R80)

We advise pre booking for our Demand Responsive Transport services to guarantee a seat or for a home pick up.  If you would like to travel regularly on one of our rural routes you can simply register with us by phone and call to book for the day you want to travel. If you have made a booking and, for whatever reason, are unable to travel, please inform us so we can offer the seat to another passenger.

We offer a pre booked door to door pick up where possible on our demand responsive transport services. Call us on 066-7147002 or email bookings@locallinkkerry.ie with your Eircode and we will assess if we can divert our existing route to accommodate your collection from your home address.

  • We accept the Free Travel Pass.
  • We pick up door to door on request and where possible on DRT services.
  • Local Link Kerry has bus services, both daily, weekly and monthly, from over 100 parishes/townlands/villages around the county.
  • All services are delivered by contracted private operators, which in turn, helps support local enterprise.
  • Local Link Kerry, as a transport coordination unit, assist a range of Agencies and Organisations in Kerry, e.g. HSE.
  • An experienced, helpful and dedicated call centre staff who will endeavour to assist you where possible.

The answer is no. As of October 2024, public transport operators prohibit the carriage of e-scooters for safety reasons to help prevent the risk of combustion on board buses and trains.
